Northern Rivers all-female new-wave punk rock force Royal Ratbags have burst onto the scene and into the aisles with their rollicking debut single “Supermarket Woman”, with a music video feature on RAGE. A total feminine wall of sound, the track showcases the band’s refreshingly chaotic sound with thumping bass, thrashing drums and drivey guitars, led by frontwoman Alexandra’s magnetic vocal presence. “Supermarket Woman” is a celebration of the simple joy of being fabulous in the fluorescent glow of your local grocer. Channelling flares of Joy Division and The Cramps, plus the electric spirit of Viagra Boys, Mini Skirt, Fontaines D.C., the song leans straight into the band’s playful punk energy.
