Stoned Waves: A Raw Mystical Sonic Revolution After their debut EP and a series of well-received singles, Stoned Waves have become a powerful force. Based in the Northern Rivers of Australia, Juan Thill assembled a lineup of distinctive characters that includes Sofia Grimoldi (drums), Michael Bassborn (bass), Pontus Brock (guitar), Estefi Minniti (vocals, synths, percussion), and Juan Thill (guitar, vocals)who reshaped the band's sound, evolving beyond the garagy surf sound that once defined them. Their first single, "Planets Crash," and the second, "Fuzzy Cloud," blend gritty garage rock with expansive, experimental textures. It’s a bold exploration of new sonic territory, marking a departure from their past and a willingness to push creative boundaries. A key turning point came when they teamed up with producer Shea Roberts (The Richmond Sluts, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, O & Shea) After nearly a year of recording at Rockbox Recording, the band and Shea crafted an album that fuses raw estructures with a more refined, expansive sound. The result is a captivating collection that will draw listeners in and leave them wanting more. With their full record out digitally and on Vinyl, Stoned Waves journey is set to leap forward.
